Hello fellow members and candidates.
My name is Thomas Nicola Lindley Jr. I am the grandson of the late Chief Norman Lindley, our first elected Chief of the Westbank Indian Band—now Westbank First Nation. I am also the eldest son of the late Cynthia Lindley and the late Thomas Lindley Sr.
I’m proud to have been raised in this vibrant community. Born in 1981, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing Westbank’s remarkable growth and development over the past 40 years.
For the past 20 years, I’ve worked with BC General Contracting—a local company owned by two members of the Westbank First Nation—where I’ve contributed to major infrastructure projects that have shaped our region. These include the Hwy 97 overpass and underpass, roundabouts, and commercial developments in West Kelowna, Summerland, and Lake Country.

I was born a worker. I know what it means to build something with your own hands. I’ve seen the strength of our people, the pride in our traditions, and the fire in the eyes of our youth. And I believe, with all my heart, that our best days are still ahead.
My upbringing gave me the chance to attend summer camps across the nation, creating unforgettable experiences and lifelong connections. I spent time on the land at Ashnola pow wow grounds, Owl Rock, and Gallaghers Canyon with Elders and community members. Those moments—connecting with the land—remain some of my fondest memories. Today, as a hunter, I continue to walk our traditional lands and honor that bond.
As I move forward, I am committed to accountability, transparency, and responsibility—values that are essential for real and lasting change. To our adults and elders: your wisdom, your experience, and your health matter deeply. I will invest in healthcare, wellness programs, and support services that keep our families strong. Because a healthy community is an unstoppable community. Our adults and elders deserve nothing less than care, respect, and support.
Commitment to Youth – Skills, Education, Future
To our young people: you are not the future—you are the present. I will create professional training programs, expand technical education, and open doors for you to learn, work, and lead right here in our community. You deserve every tool to succeed, and I will make sure you have them.
I’m not here to make empty promises—I’m here to work side by side with you. This is our home. And if we stand together, support one another, and fight for the opportunities we deserve, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
I ask for your trust, your voice, and your vote—not for me, but for the future we will build together. I believe that, united, we can unlock our full potential and create a brighter tomorrow.
“It does not require many words to speak the truth.”
